British Prime Minister Boris Johnson meets with Queen Elizabeth as she sacks Michael Gove and calls for new ministers.
According to reports, Johnson had held his weekly audience with the Queen amid the political crisis.
Details of the meeting were not immediately known.
Commenting on the meeting, senior journalist Chris Ship said: "One has to wonder what on earth the Queen and the Prime Minister were talking about or what they asked them about what was going on with Her Majesty's Government tonight. Is?"
He wrote: "Whether Boris Johnson should see the Queen to discuss dissolution, hand over a deputy, Lascelles Principals, or how Her Majesty's government can continue to operate in the days to come - she is in this place. Possibly. Waiting for a call."
Meanwhile, Boris Johnson has refused to step down.
