The Venice Film Festival is one of the world's oldest and most prestigious, competing with Cannes and Berlin
Rome: American actor Juliana Moore will be the jury chair for the Venice Film Festival to be held in September 2022, organizers said on Friday.
Moore, who won the Best Actress Oscar for 2014's "Still Alice," will preside over a six-person jury at the 11-day festival at Venice's glamorous Lido.
The directors will dominate the jury at this year's festival, which includes Argentina's Mariano Cohn, Italy's Leonardo di Costanzo, Spain's Rodrigo Sorogoyan and France's Audrey Dewan.
Dewan won Venice's Golden Lion for his film 'The Event' last year.
The jury also includes Iranian actress Leila Hatami and Japanese and British screenwriter Kazuo Ishiguro.
The Venice Film Festival is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the world, competing with Cannes and Berlin. Its 79th edition is scheduled from August 31 to September 10.
