Prince Harry delivers UN speech to get 'money', stay in Netflix's good books

Prince Harry appears to have had an ulterior motive for delivering the keynote address at the United Nations.

The Duke of Sussex, who paid tribute to Nelson Mandela in his speech, spoke about the 'global attack on democracy' in the current world.

However, book writer Tom Bower thinks the speech was carefully crafted to make Harry iconic for Netflix.

Tonight on TalkTV, Piers Morgan asked Bower: "Why does he do this, what does he think he gains from it?".

Bower replied: "He does it because he needs a profile, that's the only way they can get money for Netflix by showing the profile.

"Everything is built around a future documentary series to promote Sussex."

Pierce continued to question Bower, asking whether the United Nations could "avoid using people like Harry", which are usually controversial.

Bower said: "Well, the auditorium was pretty empty, wasn't it.

"The United Nations is quite famous for being a hot air hub.

"What was incredible was that Mandela's legacy was actually betrayed by South Africa and South Africa could have been a completely different country if Mandela had been able to live a few more years.

Bower concluded, "I thought that when he lived in luxury in Montecito he really gave up all the problems and self-inflicted problems of Africa."
