Renowned tennis player Serena William has denied Meghan Markle's friendship claim, saying she was an "acquaintance" of the former Suits star, a new book on the Duchess claims.
Vanity Fair writer Sam Kashner claimed that the star tennis player said she was only "acquainted" with Meghan.
The Duchess of Sussex reportedly gave Sam Kashner a list of her friends in a previous interview, but upon calling Williams, who was on the list, denied their claim of friendship.
Upon answering the call, Serena Williams reportedly called Meghan an acquaintance, adding: "You have to be who you are, Meghan. You can't hide."
