ISLAMABAD: An accountability court (AC) on Tuesday adjourned till February 1 the hearing in the LNG reference against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Miftah Ismail and others.
AC-II Judge Muhammad Azam Khan heard the reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). Due to the absence of defense lawyers, including barristers Qasim Abbasi and Munawwar Duggal, the hearing of the case was adjourned without proceedings.
The court was told that he was infected with COVID-19 and was unable to attend the proceedings. Thereafter, the hearing of the matter was adjourned till the next date. The court allowed Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to leave the court after recording his attendance.
