Dua Lipa finds support in her 'tough circle' in difficult times

Dua Lipa is praising the close group that supports her through thick and thin.

The levitating hitmaker recently spoke to the WSJ. Magazine about the essence of keeping his life away from the glare of the media.

She said: "Something that I've realized over time is how little people really know. I've made peace with the fact that people can think what they want to think, but no one really knows what. What's happening behind closed doors." Lipa's statement comes after her breakup with model Anwar Hadid, boyfriend of two years.

"My circle is really tight, my family and my friends keep me so grounded, and it gives me a kind of comfort that there isn't everything to take away from your life and privacy," Lipa said.

Speaking further about her Kosovar roots, the singer reiterated that remembering her past helps her feel grounded and content with her life.

"It's such a big part of who I am. My parents and how they came to the UK, [refugee status] has always been something that's really close to my heart," he said.

"I read a lot of comments from people telling me that I have no country, I have no identity, Kosovo doesn't exist.

"I lived in Kosovo, I know the lives that were lost. So for someone to deny my identity and my experience, it's hard for me to stand back and not talk about it. So this Something I'll always do," the singer declared.
