Blake Lively's feature directorial debut 'Second' to be produced under Searchlight Pictures

Blake Lively is set to begin her journey as a feature film director. The Shallows star is making her directorial debut with Seconds, an adaptation of Brian Lee O'Malley's graphic novel.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, writer O'Malley also wrote the source material that inspired Edgar Wright's 2010 film Scott Pilgrim Versus the World, and Wright wrote the screenplay and would help produce Lively Seconds.
The author also took to his Instagram to share the exciting news. He posted several screenshots of the news and captioned it, "Let's go."

The latest venture of the Gossip Girl alum will be produced under Searchlight Pictures.
Lively previously worked behind the camera as a director, while he co-wrote and directed the music video for Taylor Swift's I Bet You Think About Me in November 2021.
The Second—published in 2014—follows the story of Katie Clay, who is able to rewrite her past mistakes by writing them down in a notebook, eating mushrooms and sleeping. As she begins to change her life little by little, she discovers that the world she wrote herself is far from the way it was originally intended, THR reported.
