Hit TV show 'Suits' is coming to the Middle East with new Arabic remake

 


As reported by Variety, Aaron Korsch's hit show Suits is being remade in Arabic, starring some of the biggest Middle-Eastern names.

As per reports, the Arabic version of the suit is all set to debut on West Asia's satellite pay-TV, Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) and Egyptian broadcaster UMS during the upcoming Ramadan season.

NBCUniversal Formats had greenlighted the show to remake, in collaboration with Cairo-based production company TVision, OSN and UMS to produce the Arabic version.

The Arabic-language remake features a starry line-up including Aser Yasin as Harvey; Ahmed Dawood as Mike, Saba Mubarak as Jessica, Reem Mustafa as Donna, Tara Imad as Rachel and Mohammed Shaheen as Louis.

According to reports, the shooting of the first two seasons has started in January, with 30 episodes in each season.

The show is written by Egyptian producer-writers Mohamed Hefzi and Yasser Abdel Majeed, with Mariam Ahmadi serving as director.

Speaking about the upcoming remake, Enrique Guillen, executive VP of international development at Universal Studios Group, said, "Suits is one of the most popular TV shows in the world, and we're looking forward to adapting it for Middle Eastern audiences and partnering once more. Excited to be back again with my friends at TVvision."

Arabic Suits is currently set to premiere in the Middle East on OSN and streaming app Watchit starting April 2.
