Kate Middleton was once split up by an ex-girlfriend of Prince William during a 'Never Have I Ever' game in college.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who began dating in secret in 2003, kept their courtship a secret for the longest time to avoid public attention.
Royal writer Katie Nicholl explains OK! The magazine reported that during this time Kate's ex-girlfriend Carly Massey-Burch made Kate uncomfortable.
At a college party, William and Kate sat down with Carly and a group of other friends to play a round of Never Have I Ever, where the ex-girlfriend told the Duke about his relationship with the Duchess.
"When it was Carly's turn to play, she announced, 'I've never dated two people in this room,' knowing full well that it was only William, as Kate sat next to him.
"He looked at Carly with a thunderbolt and said under his breath, 'I can't believe you just said' before drinking his shot.
"Kate didn't talk to Carly much after that, but we were in shock.
"We knew they were together, but this was the first time William confirmed his and Kate's relationship."
In addition to the bold move, Kate was often annoyed by Carly for her closeness to William.
"She could literally wave William out of his sitting room, where he'd sit weaving by the window, which is what Kate was holding onto."
