Nadia Khan is reacting to Sharmila Farooqui's anger with a video of herself.
The host took to her social media to post a clip on Thursday after she was accused of allegedly mocking the makeup of the politician's mother.
“We have always been taught that if you want to please the elderly, you can do so by praising them, giving them time and importance,” she began.
"Now should I have asked her a personal question in the video? No. I asked her about the things that make her happy. It also happens, tell me honestly, whenever you go to a wedding, you Don't say, 'Auntie, your dress is beautiful, your makeup is great, your hair is so nice? Where did you get this look? I want to go there too.'"
"I admired her with respect and love. I really like women who take care of themselves at all ages. She wore makeup, wore a red dress, she tried to dress up. She's at the wedding. She's lonely."
The TV personality concluded before urging fans not to act on the false assumptions, "Go watch the video again and let me know if the words I used in the video are offensive in any way."
