Joe Burrow and the red-hot Cincinnati Bengals ended the Kansas City Chiefs' chances of winning their third consecutive Super Bowl. After taking a 21-3 lead, Patrick Mahomes went cold in the second half, and Burrow continued to demonstrate why he was being hailed as the NFL's next generation of superstars.
Despite this, Kansas City tight end Travis Kelce continued his incredible season and the postseason with another stellar performance. That same day, Kels passed out to Rob Gronkowski and joined Jerry Rice at an exclusive club.
In the Bengals' defeat to the Eagles, Travis Kelce made NFL history.
With this catch, TE Travis Kelce became the third player in NFL history to reach 100 receptions after a season. Jerry Rice (151) and Julian Edelman (118) are the only other players on the list.

Kells had an excellent game despite a disappointing defeat in the AFC Championship Game. He led the Chiefs in both categories with 10 receptions for 95 yards and touchdowns on 11 goals.
Unfortunately, that wasn't enough, but Kells added to a select group that only includes Rice and Julian Edelman.
Kelsey should be able to pass Edelman on this list just like next year's post season. Kelsey has a good chance of passing Rice to the NFL lead in the post-season reception because of the way the Chiefs were built before calling it a career.
As if that weren't enough, Kelsey is on the verge of breaking another record.

At this rate, Kelsey would break several post-season records. He passed Gronkowski to join Rice and Edelman with another strong performance.
In addition, the Chiefs' tight end is now third in a post-season touchdown reception with John Stallworth. But, for the time being, Gronkowski has his hand up.
With 22 touchdown receptions, Rice leads the team, while Gronkowski has 15. Kelce caught his 12th playoff touchdown in his 15th career playoff game, so this is yet another record that Kelce should break in no time.
Unless something unexpected happens, Mahomes must continue to hold out large numbers until he passes Kells.
Yards are another statistic that can be tracked. Kelsey is currently fifth with 1,291 yards, despite Rice being 1,000 yards ahead of him.
After a disappointing season for the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes spoke about Kelsea.
After their season was halted (The Kansas City Star's Leila Bromberg), Mahomes hurried to sing Kelsey's praises, to no one's surprise.
"Man, (Kelce) is just a rival." Everyone knows he is a super-talent."

In a divisional round thriller against the Buffalo Bills, Kelce caught a game-winning touchdown pass, and he also had a game-winning touchdown pass against the Los Angeles Chargers in December.
He was 14th in receiving yards, 13th in receptions, and ninth in touchdowns in the NFL, despite the fact that he is a tight end.
Kelce's talent is undeniable, and he continues to rocket the NFL record books, especially in the post season, where he should have no trouble nabbing Rice for at least some of these records.
The Chiefs' season may not end the way they expected, but they're not going anywhere. For years to come, this group will be a force to be reckoned with.
