February 1-14: NCOC announces door-to-door Covid vaccination campaign

 


ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) on Tuesday announced a door-to-door vaccination campaign "Har Pakistani Corona Kaho Mahfooz" from February 1 to February 14 to get rid of the COVID-19 pandemic.

A campaign has been started here in which all persons above the age of 12 years will be vaccinated. In this campaign, more than 55,000 vaccination teams will go door-to-door to vaccinate non-vaccinated individuals.

Federal Planning Development and Special Initiatives Minister Asad Umar, addressing a press conference, said that so far more than 80 million people have been fully vaccinated, while about 100 million people have received at least one dose of the vaccine. has been imposed. He said that a total of 180 million individuals were vaccinated, who received a single dose of the vaccine.

Asad Umar once again appealed to the general public to fully cooperate with the vaccination teams in the campaign to ensure Pakistan's security and get rid of the epidemic. The minister said that about 26 lakh people have also been vaccinated. He said that throughout the omicron spread, it was clearly seen that those cities and regions remained more or less affected by the epidemic, where the proportion of vaccination was higher than the areas and cities where the proportion of vaccination was low.

During the campaign, over 55,000 mobile teams will go door-to-door to vaccinate those who have not been vaccinated yet. He said that more than 35,000,000 people will be vaccinated in this campaign.

Asad Umar appealed to the people to get their full vaccination done and those who have not yet received the second dose, must take it. He said that those who got the second dose six months back should definitely get a booster. He urged people to inform neighbours, relatives and others about this opportunity of vaccination.
