Green Day refused to go to Russia for concert plans due to its ongoing war with Ukraine.
Green Day has officially decided to cancel their musical activities within Russia in light of their acquisition attempt in Ukraine.
The band announced the news in a statement to Variety, writing, "With a heavy heart, in light of current events, we feel it is necessary to cancel our upcoming show in Moscow at Spartak Stadium."
"We know this moment isn't about the stadium rock show, it's much bigger than that," the band also insisted. But we also know that rock and roll is forever and we believe there will be a time and place for us to return in the future. Be safe."
