Stephen A. Smith of ESPN.com is a contributor to this article. Smith has lashed out at Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, after former head coach Brian Flores sued the NFL and three teams for racism and lack of integrity in recruiting practices.
The former Miami Dolphins coach claims he was mistreated during interviews with the Denver Broncos and New York Giants, as well as his firing last month.
Today, Smith, co-host of ESPN's First Take, discusses the topic. If the allegations against Ross and he wanted Flores to do as Dolphins coach in 2019, Smith said he would not be able to continue as team owner. Smith began by providing some background information about Ross.
"Miami Dolphins Owner, Stephen Ross." I want to make sure I see Ross initiative in the game for equality, because I want to make sure I see it. "Well, this is what the owner of the Miami Dolphins, Stephen Ross, concocted," Smith explained.
According to Smith, Ross has actively contributed to the "cause on behalf of African Americans," but his black GM, Chris Greer, was named in the lawsuit for asking Brian Flores to tank in 2019.
"They've put out millions of dollars on behalf of African Americans, and you hired Brian Flores, you've got a black GM in Chris Greer, and Chris Greer is the guy who's being prosecuted. Going to Brian Flores." and encouraging him to intentionally lose games, even offering him $100,000 for each game he loses.
Stephen A. was born in the United States of America. Smith concluded his remarks by saying that Ross jeopardized "competition integrity" and thus should not be allowed to own an NFL franchise.
"If this turns out to be true, Stephen Ross is no longer eligible to own an NFL team and should resign." If it is true then it has to be abandoned, and only if it is true. You are talking about jeopardizing the integrity of the competition; That would be grossly infringing, and there would be no justification for keeping him as the owner," concluded Smith.

The former coach, who is 40, is attempting to draw attention to the activities of the three teams, accusing him of discrimination during head coaching interviews with the Giants and Broncos, as well as his firing from Miami.
