PM Imran urges international community to pay attention to India's crimes against humanity
ISLAMABAD: Assuring Pakistan's full support in their legitimate struggle for self-determination of the people of Kashmir, Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday said it is time to resolve the decades-old issue accordingly. Is. Keeping in view the aspirations of the people of Kashmir and the principles of UNSC resolutions.
The entire nation is celebrating Kashmir Solidarity Day today to reaffirm our unwavering support to Kashmiris in their just struggle.
One minute silence was observed across the country at 10:00 am. Solidarity walks are being organized in Islamabad, Muzaffarabad, Gilgit and provincial headquarters. Human chains were formed at important points connecting Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.
'Pakistan stands with Kashmiri brothers'
In his message, Prime Minister Imran Khan reiterated that Pakistan stands with Kashmiri brothers and sisters and urged the international community to pay attention to India's crimes against humanity.
Taking to his Twitter handle, the premier wrote: "Modi's fascist policies of repression [and] violence have failed to quell the spirit of Kashmiri resistance in Indian-Occupied Kashmir (IOK).

The premier stressed that the time has come for the world to pay attention to India's serious human rights violations at the IoK, including crimes against humanity, war crimes and genocidal acts, as well as the threat of forced demographic change.
"All of these are in complete violation of the Geneva Conventions," he said. He said it is the responsibility of the international community to ensure a fair plebiscite in Kashmir.
PM Imran Khan wrote: "The world must not ignore the plight of the people of IoK and their unquestioning desire to free themselves from the harsh military occupation of the Indian state."
In a separate statement to mark the day, he said: "For the international community to hold India accountable for its heinous crimes in the IoK and to work towards a just and peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations there is time. Security Council resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people."
The Prime Minister further said that the issue of IoK was an internationally recognized dispute, the resolution of which rests firmly in the relevant resolutions of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
He said that since India's illegal and unilateral actions in August 2019, the human rights situation in the IoK has been deteriorating continuously.
"Hundreds of Kashmiris have been martyred as a result of the inhuman military siege that lasted for nearly two and a half years," he said.
The premier said Indian occupation forces continue to use indiscriminate force against
Kashmiri men, women, children and the elderly.

He said that it is time to end this human tragedy and resolve the Kashmir issue in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir and UN resolutions.
