Klay Thompson dazzles from deep, Warriors beat Kings 126-114

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Klay Thompson took a flick pass from Stephen Curry in transition and then pulled Davian Mitchell into the left corner and deflected an off-balance baseline 3-pointer that was spot on, to celebrate. Raised one hand.

Thompson hit his first seven-shot total and his opening six 3-pointers on his way to 23 points and seven assists, and the Golden State Warriors secured their eighth straight win as the Undermans beat the Sacramento Kings 126-114 on Thursday night.

"I'm happy with the night, but I want to build on it," Thompson said. "I want to shoot the lights all the time."

Thompson knocked down four straight deeps during a dominant second quarter - including that spectacular 3 as the crowd at the Chase Center roared. Splash Brother Curry just kept sending him the ball.

"It was fantastic to watch. I love when he gets that enthusiasm in his move and is getting rewarded with shots," Curry said. “He can be hot at any time, he has that look in his eyes. We love watching it, it’s a big encouragement for the whole team and for him as well.”

Thompson scored 8 for 11 off the floor with seven 3 seconds to go and continued to make steady progress after a 2 1/2-year return from surgery on his left knee and right Achilles tendon.

Coach Steve Kerr said, "He had a few games where he lit it and caught fire, so it seemed almost routine to me." "Apart from that Crazy Corner 3 when he was super hot, he felt a little out-of-body feel-ish."

Curry scored 20 points and seven assists in foul play, while Andrew Wiggins scored the Warriors' 12 in their fourth consecutive win against the Kings and fourth in the home series.
