Lata Mangeshkar passed away on Sunday 6 February

The Pakistani media fraternity also appeared sad on the demise of legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar as actors Imran Abbas and Adnan Abbas paid heartfelt tributes.

The Khuda Aur Mohabbat actor dropped a picture from the legend's biographical calendar on Instagram, which he had signed for him.

Condoling his death, the Creature actor called the day 'the darkest in the world of music'.

Praising the singer's melodious voice, Abbas wrote, "His voice was God's blessing to the entire universe and his contribution to our memories is certainly immeasurable."

“Today marks the end of an era. Lata Madam!!! You won our hearts for decades and will always reign as the queen of melody for years to come,” she wrote in the caption.

Remembering the Nightingale of India, Siddiqui also shared a picture of Mangeshkar saying goodbye to him on social media.

The 52-year-old actor wrote, "For nearly eight decades, he ruled the hearts of millions and millions of people crossing borders and languages."

"A voice so distinctively melodious that Lata di (sic) should be synonymous with melody. Love, longing, pathos, mischief: she mastered every genre and with what enthusiasm!"

"The music won't be as melodious now, but Na Chhedo Kal Ke Afsane (his song for the 1967 film Raat Aur Din) will still be there. Like thousands of others," he expressed.
