KARACHI: Quetta Gladiators key player Shahid Afridi has joined his squad as his Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) results came negative on Tuesday, the PSL franchise confirmed.
Gladiators manager Azam Khan said in a statement that Afridi underwent a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) at the hotel today and the result came negative.
"Shahid Afridi has joined the team," he said.
A day earlier, Azam Khan had said, "If [Shahid Afridi's] test comes back negative, he will join the team in their match against Islamabad United [scheduled to play] on 3 February."
Earlier on Sunday, Afridi's PCR test came negative for the second time.
On January 27, Afridi had tested positive for COVID-19, following which he had self-quarantined at home following the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) COVID-19 protocol.
