SAG Awards pay emotional tribute to Betty White, Bob Saget and others

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG) prepared an emotional tribute to the late actors, who passed away in the past one year.

The iconic event took place on Sunday, recalling Betty White, Bob Saget, Sidney Poitier, James Michael Tyler, Willie Garson, Norm Macdonald and Michael Kay Williams during a segment starring Maggie Gyllenhaal.

"It's been a very painful loss this year," the 44-year-old star said.

"Tonight we honor our teammates who have gone before us. To them, we say thank you for your work and inspiration and in some cases, even for being a friend."

The most recent demise of these legends was that of Saget who was best known for his appearance on Full House.

He was found dead in a Florida hotel room at the age of 65.

Officers "concluded that he accidentally hit something on the back of his head, thought nothing of it, and fell asleep. No drugs or alcohol were involved."
