Andrew Garfield sheds light on intentions for future re-emerging roles as Spider-Man
American actor Andrew Garfield's plans for a Spider-Man sequel have been revealed.
Speaking to Variety, the actor opened up about it and began by admitting that he "has no plans, it's true."
At the same time, however, his decision to quash rumors of his Spiderman role in the past led to "everyone will call me a liar for the rest of my life," because "I'm the guy who cried wolf."
This admission comes shortly after Garfield's Tick, Tick... BOOM! Producer Lin-Manuel Miranda spoke about the moment he questioned him over his rumored role as Peter Parker.
She began by telling the outlet, "To his credit, he never said this to me. He always denied it, but I was there the day it leaked.
"He was on my set in November when it leaked that he was in talks and I quietly walked up to him and said, 'Brother, are you in the new 'Spider-Man'?" And he went, '[Unattainable] up, [degradable] up'."
Before the finale she also said, "It was the worst act I'd ever seen him do. And I went, 'He's gotta practice, that denial,' and he was great at it, but I was there when he first Bar had it in the workshop."
