Clippers head coach Ty Lew gave a Qi update.
Kawhi Leonard set the internet on fire while shooting three before the LA Clippers vs. Golden State Warriors game.

Ty Lew likes to play coy when asked about Kawhi Leonard, so he naturally said that he "didn't see" Leonard shooting him on the court. However, when Lew was asked further, he gave a small update about Kavi. The Clippers head coach said Kawhi Leonard has not yet been approved for contact. He also mentioned that Kawhi Leonard has not yet been approved to play 1-on-1.
The saga after Kawhi Leonard's ACL injury has been a strange one. When the season began, there was nothing but optimism and talk of Leonard being premature. Those talks lasted until January, as Chris Haynes reported on a broadcast. However, Ty Lew noted that Kavi was returning "probably not" around February.
It's only a good thing to see Leonard get down on the court, especially when he's doing it in public on the street; It's very easy to get overly excited to watch the footage. However, it still doesn't mean that he is making a comeback this season or not. There is not that much time to return, which involves several stages of ramp up. If Kawhi Leonard does return, however, it would immediately propel the Clippers to become championship favorites this season.
