Queen Elizabeth met with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Windsor Palace on Monday
On Monday, Queen Elizabeth met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Windsor Palace, marking the first in-person engagement since receiving COVID last month.
As photos of the meeting emerged and quickly went viral, Hawkeye fans noticed a subtle message in the background of the goalscoring pictures.
The photos show the Queen greeting Mr Trudeau with a large vase filled with yellow and blue flowers – a clear reference to the flag of Ukraine which is blue and yellow.
The flower appears to be a show of support for the Ukrainian conflict as the country battles a Russian invasion.
Royal Watchdog took to social media to point out the detail with one user comment: "I love that the flowers are blue and yellow, while another said:" Subtle nod to Ukraine with no more flower colors sees? very nice."
The Queen's flowers are far from being the Royal's only acknowledgment of Russia's invasion, with Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla paying a visit to the Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in London last week.
The Queen made 'generous' donations to the Emergency Committee on Disasters after the invasion.
