Millions of users posted on Twitter about their problems connecting to the app.
Swedish streaming service Spotify went offline for more than an hour on Tuesday for an unknown reason, the company said, as millions of users worldwide reported they were logged out and could not log back on.
"Something's not right, and we're investigating. Thanks for your report!" The company wrote on Twitter.
After about 90 minutes the company said that the service has been restored.
"Everything is looking much better now", it said, giving no explanation for the outage.

Spotify said several other platforms were also affected.
A spokesperson told AFP: "Spotify and several other platforms experienced a brief service outage today around 1:15 p.m. EST (1815 GMT). As of 2:40 p.m. EST Spotify is back up and running as normal." is working", a spokesman told AFP.
