Harry Styles to play Capitals' Summertime Ball after a three-year hiatus

Harry Styles will also headline Radio 1's Big Weekend 2022 after completing his Coachella 2022 set

Harry Styles has been named to headline the Capitals' Summertime Ball with Barclaycard after a three-year COVID hiatus.

The Watermelon Sugar singer has been first confirmed to play among a star-studded lineup of artists including George Ezra and KSI.

Described as 'the UK's biggest summer party', the festivities will take place on Sunday, 12 June at Wembley Stadium in London.

The first wave of names were announced on Monday during Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp. In addition to Styles, Ezra and KSI, stars including Anne-Marie, Becky Hill, Sigala, Gail, Erdie and Eddie Benjamin will also play at the event.

"We're back! After a three-year break, we weren't so excited to be back at Wembley Stadium for this huge show," Kemp said in a statement shared on social media.

Earlier this morning, it was announced that the singer would also headline Radio 1's Big Weekend 2022 after playing two bill-topping sets at this month's Coachella in Indio, Calif.

In addition, Styles' third studio album, Harry's House, is slated for release on May 20 and features her most recent single As It Was.
