Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck engaged again after 20 years
Jennifer Lopez is definitely off the market!
The exciting news was confirmed by the 52-year-old himself in a short video on the website on the JLo. In the clip, Jennifer is seen admiring the green diamond ring.
"You're perfect," Lopez says in a voiceover. Sources close to the songwriter confirm that the clip is a video of the engagement announcement.
Before the video was released, the singer took to her Facebook to hint at something "exciting and special" coming in the evening.
This is the second time JLo and Affleck have exchanged rings. In 2002, after only a few months of dating, the actor proposed. However, within a year, the duo called off their engagement due to 'excessive media attention'.
"Due to the high media attention to our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date," the couple said in a joint statement. "When we found ourselves seriously considering hiring three different 'decoy brides' at three different locations, we realized something was amiss."
The statement continued, "We began to feel that the spirit of what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives could be compromised. We realized that what should have been a joyous and holy day was for us, our families. And that could be bad for our friends."
The announcement comes after JLo was spotted with a mysterious bling on Thursday.
For her day, the singer donned a floral print and black sunglasses. She was joined by 14-year-old daughter Emme for a round of furniture shopping in Los Angeles.
