Kaley Cuoco 'cried all night' after losing 'Knives Out 2' role to Kate Hudson

Kaley Cuoco is working with Pete Davidson in a romantic comedy Meet Cute

Kelly Cuoco recently opened up about the disappointment of not getting her desired role in Rian Johnson's upcoming Whodunit Knives Out 2.

In an interview with Glamour, the Flight Attendant star revealed that she "cried all night" as she was hurt and devastated to lose an iconic role in Knives Out 2 to Kate Hudson.

The 36-year-old actress admitted, "I believed that part was mine."

Kelly went on to elaborate that she was "convinced" to get a role in an upcoming Netflix film and so packed her bags for Greece to join the cast already on location.

However, she didn't get it and the news really shocked her even though she never behaved like this for any other role.

"I was devastated. And I don't usually get devastated about roles," commented the Big Bang Theory star.

Kelly also told the media outlet that she was happy that Kate got the role. But what angered her was the reaction of the makers of the film as they did not give any reason as to why the role went to the 42-year-old actress instead of her.

Interestingly, Kelly is currently working on a romantic comedy Meet Cute, which also stars Pete Davidson as his girlfriend.

The California native said, "I didn't want to read the script in the beginning because I was distressed, but later when they insisted, I read it and found it the most magical little script."

She also recognized that if she had gotten Knives Out 2, she would have missed out on this 'amazing film'.

"It just shows you that you are where you need to be," concluded the actress.
