Prince Andrew has been accused of trying to replace his late father Prince Philip next to Queen Elizabeth
Prince Andrew has been accused of trying to make a public comeback by attempting to replace his late father Prince Philip next to Queen Elizabeth after a sex scandal.
The comments come from royal expert Natalie Oliveri at Philip's memorial with Prince Andrew along with his mother, the monarch. Soon after, there were reports of him participating in the upcoming Epsom Derby.
Speaking on the Australian show Today Extra, Oliveri said: "There is some fear that he is trying to project himself as the Queen's unofficial adviser.
She further suggested that Andrew could use the absence of his late father Prince Philip to publicly relaunch himself.
"His possible presence at Epsom may be why he played such a prominent role at Philip's memorial last week," Oliveri said.
On the same show, she warned Queen Elizabeth against backing Andrew's public return, saying: "I think it could really backfire for the royal family."
