Prince Charles, Camilla to visit Canada to celebrate Queen's Platinum Jubilee

The Prince and The Duchess are expected to return to Canada after their final visit in 2017.


Heir to the British throne Prince Charles and his wife Camilla will travel to Canada in May, where they will meet with communities in Newfoundland and Labrador, Ottawa and the Northwest Territories.

According to their Clarence House office, "The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall will visit Canada in May to mark Her Majesty The Queen's Platinum Jubilee."

The Prince and The Duchess are expected to return to Canada after their final visit in 2017.

During a previous visit with the Duchess of Cornwall, the Prince said: "As always, it's a special pleasure to be back in Canada - a place we both hold dear. We've always wanted to feel at home in Canada. and was very impressed with the warmth of your welcome."

His Royal Highness has ties to several Canadian charities and military affiliations.

The Royal Family has close ties to Canada - the Prince of Wales first arrived in 1970 and Canada is the country most visited by The Queen during her reign.
