Prince Charles and his family's close relationship with Jimmy Saville, who was exposed as a pedophile in 2011, has been uncovered with a new documentary detailing the extent of his relationship with the royal family.
The expose comes in a new Netflix documentary titled Jimmy Saville: A British Horror Story, which features several memos and personal letters detailing his closeness to the royal firm.
In a 1989 memorandum addressed to the royals, and titled 'Guidelines for Members of the Royal Family and their Employees', Savile claimed that he was "in the palaces on a regular basis".
On a page titled 'Personal Observation', Saville said he was 'well positioned' to comment and comment on the image of the royal family, as he had access inside their homes.
Saville wrote: "Since I regularly visit St. James's Palace and Buckingham Palace, one thing is becoming quite clear. There is now a strong movement towards … attitude towards certain family members and their staff."
Savile's ill-fated history of sexual abuse was exposed in 2011 shortly after his death, with the DJ and philanthropist allegedly molesting hundreds of children and women over several decades.
