Prince William, Kate Middleton asked to reinvent social media for 'Hollywood' look

Prince William and Kate Middleton to change social media strategy

Prince William and Kate Middleton are asked to listen to more local voices.

Pop culture expert Nick Ed notes how 'credibility' is important for Cambridges to be liked and accepted. He suggests a more approachable image for Wills and Kate could be of immense benefit to the monarchy.

Speaking to Express.co.uk, Mr Ade said: "I think they would be more likely to do Hollywood-esque films that are being edited really well, made by great editors .

"But I think they could also do something like David Beckham did when he gave his Instagram to someone in Ukraine to talk about his plight, which I think is really strong.

"And that's something they can do, to allow others to use their platform."

He continued: "He has to be a lot more fair than an influencer, but I think he can tell stories in a really good strategic way and really educate us."

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge grabbed attention with their fun and casual photos from their Caribbean trip, posted on their Instagram accounts.

They added: "Strategizing social media is their best form of being a really attractive couple that people can relate to.

"It's the most important thing - not just the images and reportage.

"It's really important for them to move on and play the role of monarchy in Britain and beyond.

"For me this is really the way forward for them.

"If you think about a royalist, they're usually a little older, and when the Queen passes away, we'll have to see what the role of the royal family is and how they might relate, but Still can encourage tourism and all the wonderful things they do.

"And I think it's becoming increasingly important for Kate and William to appear.

"Little like Diana - to be the king and queen of the people, instead of the queen, who has always been seen as this wonderful head of state, but it is also quite difficult to achieve.

"We're all about relativity now, but I think they're doing it."
