Princess Eugenie played key role in Prince Harry, Queen reunion

Princess Eugenie and Prince Harry are the closest of all royal cousins

Experts claim Princess Eugenie was instrumental in Harry and the Queen's reunion.

Analyzing Meghan and Harry's recent visit to Windsor, royal expert Richard Kay noted that the visit has been crucial to the couple's 'long-term status' in the family.

However, one member who helped encourage and support the Sussex return was none other than Prince Andrew's daughter and Harry's best friend, Princess Eugenie.

"This was not a last-minute visit and was to account for the Queen's recent ill health, which included contracting COVID in February," begins Richard.

"It was also the first time Meghan had seen any of her royal in-laws since March 2020. Interestingly, this included a fifth member of the royal family who was not present at any of the meetings - Princess Eugenie," he noted.

Princess Eugenie is currently living at Frogmore Cottage, the former home of Harry and Meghan. This indicates that the couple spent the night at their cousin's place before meeting the queen.

"The princess, who is temporarily living at her cousin's Frogmore Cottage with her husband Jack Brooksbank and their son August, is believed to have played an 'encouraging' role behind the scenes.

“She is Harry's closest royal aide – she and Jack visited the Sussexes in California earlier this year – and she is also close to the Queen,” Richard concluded.
