Queen Elizabeth's closeness to her disgraced son Prince Andrew is reportedly a cause for concern
Queen Elizabeth's closeness to her disgraced son Prince Andrew is reportedly proving to be a cause for concern as it is 'tarnishing' her platinum jubilee plans, Express UK reports.
After Prince Andrew, who has been accused of sexual misconduct, featured prominently at his late father Prince Philip's memorial service with the monarch on March 29, royal writer Clive Irving believes the Queen's homage to his The close proximity is worrying.
Writing for The Daily Beast, Irving said: "This year, what should have been a spectacular, immaculate celebration of Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee has been tarnished by the wrongdoing of the Queen's second son".
He continued: "...and by the puzzlement of his attachment to her, demonstrated that when he took her to his seat at Westminster Abbey for a service celebrating the life of Prince Philip."
Andrew, who carried the Queen to her seat at Philip's memorial, marked his first public appearance since settling the first sexual abuse case in March.
