South Korean actor Lee Jung-jae, who became globally popular for his character in Netflix's hit series Squid Game, is set to premiere his directorial debut Hunt at the 75th Cannes Film Festival.

Jung-Jae's Hunt will premiere in Cannes's Midnight Screenings section, a sidebar dedicated to the thriller and genre.

On social media, Jung-jae shared the poster of his new film, in which he will also star opposite Jung Woo-sung.

While the dates for the Cannes Film Festival in France are set from May 17 to May 28, the premiere date of Jung-jae's Hunt has not yet been disclosed.

Hunt (aka Namsoon) revolves around the story of two special agents in Korea's National Intelligence Service who are independently tasked with a single mission: to find a North Korean mole within the agency.

Meanwhile, producer Hwang Dong-hyuk recently revealed that Jung-jae will "definitely" reprise his role as Gi-hun in the next season of Squid Game.

Jung-jae won several awards for his stellar performance on the show, including Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.
