Joe Alwyn on his experience working with Taylor Swift says 'it was a real bonus of lockdown'

Joe Alwyn details his Grammy win with girlfriend Taylor Swift in his latest interview.

The Conversations With Friends star recalled the songwriting process with the folklorist singer and the surprise of winning an award in her interview with The Guardian.

Alwyn, who is popularly known for his performance in The Favorite, shared that he became a professional songwriter during the lockdown and detailed the experience of collaborating with his longtime girlfriend Swift on their album Folklore and more.

"It was a real bonus of the lockdown," he told the outlet. "that's an understatement."

The album Folklore won Album of the Year at the 2020 Grammy and Alwyn — who co-wrote and co-produced the Betty and Exile songs under the pseudonym William Bowery — scored a trophy.

He further explained that he and Swift did not plan to work together, it happened organically.

"It wasn't like, 'It's 5 o'clock, it's time to go and write a song together,'" he shared. "It's come about from messing around on a piano, and singing badly, then being heard, and being like, 'Let's see what happens if we end this together.' "

Harriet Starr has reportedly been dating the Red Kronor since 2016. The pair have largely kept the details about their relationship a secret ever since.
