American reality star Paris Hilton recently shared her experience of visiting the White House
American reality star Paris Hilton recently shared her experience of visiting the White House as part of her anti-child abuse campaign.
The 41-year-old socialite expressed on Twitter that she is 'honoured' to make a two-day trip to Washington DC to speak for the Institutional Child Abuse Act.
"Honoured to be back in DC to continue my advocacy work," he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
“I had such an inspiring time meeting with the policy staff and walking the halls of the West Wing with the advocates.
"I am very happy to see that the most powerful office in the world is dedicated to fighting for the rights of all," he said.
Hilton has previously been vocal about abuse at the hands of a 'trouble-teen' facility in Utah when she was just 16 years old.
"Although it was an extremely uncomfortable experience, I believed it was a legitimate, routine check for Banned," she told USA Today.
“But what I couldn’t understand at age 16 is why internal exams would be conducted with me during my time in Provo and only in the middle of the night,” she continued.
"My parents were convinced that my disorder would be cured with 'tough love'."
