Amber Heard announces she will appeal the verdict of the trial

Amber Heard released a statement Friday after lawyers for her and Johnny Depp failed to reach a settlement at the last minute.

Since the legal battle could lead to a lengthy and costly appeals process, Hear's reps hinted at Aquaman Star's further plans to file an appeal.

“As was said at yesterday's Congress; hearing, if you are innocent you do not apologize,” she said in a statement to The Post Friday.

"And, if you know you are right, you do not decline to appeal," the statement said.

The blockbuster legal battle isn't coming to an end as it will be sent to the Court of Appeals in Virginia after 21 days.

Thereafter, the parties will have 30 days to file a notice of appeal.

Meanwhile, Friday's ruling ordered Heard and Depp to pay $10.35 million and $2 million, respectively, plus 6% interest per year.

A source told the outlet that Heard would have to post a bond "equivalent to the full amount of the decision, $480,000 in interest payments" if she appeals.
