Amber Heard asks for more payment against Johnny Depp 'if she wants to appeal'

Amber Heard and Johnny Depp legal team meets for final court hearing

Amber Heard can only appeal against the decision of Johnny Depp's defamation lawsuit if she settles for financial damages.

As the New York Post reports, in the ruling after the final hearing, Judge Penny Azcarte announced that Heard would have to pay Depp $10.35 million in damages plus additional interest if she wanted to appeal the verdict.

Fairfax County judges, after consultation with jurors, want the actress to settle the $10.35 million amount plus $480,000 (6% interest).

The case will be taken to the Virginia Court of Appeals after 21 days and both parties will have 30 days to file an appeals notice, notes the outlet.

Amber Heard previously took to her social media and blamed the judicial system for curtailing her voice in a defamation suit. The actress insisted that she would file an appeal challenging the decision of "social media influencers" jurors.
