Diana's biographer says Meghan Markle 'would have been a natural royal'

Meghan Markle would have made a natural royal had she been in the royal family longer, according to an expert

The royal biographer for Princess Diana has said that Meghan Markle would have made a natural royal had she tried hard enough to stay in the royal family long enough.

Speaking about the Duchess of Sussex's charity work even before she married Prince Harry, royal writer Andrew Morton told The Mirror's royal podcast, Pod Save the Queen: "The great tragedy, I think, is this That Meghan and Harry haven't given it up long enough to see if they can give it a try."

He continued: "They were out almost before the wedding music ended."

Morton shared: "Meghan is a natural, I found pictures of her when she was 10 years old when she was leading a march against the first Gulf War at her school. Local TV cameras came and she was there giving interviews .

"She spoke with Hillary Clinton at the United Nations. She had a lot of potential to use her talent and her position to make a real change in the world. I don't think she's going to make a change by being in Montecito, " He continued.

Meghan and Harry both stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and then relocated to the US, where they live in Montecito with their two children, Archie and Lillibet.
