Hollywood Walk of Fame to honor Paul Walker with posthumous tribute in 2023

'Fast and Furious' fame actor Paul Walker died in a car accident in 2013


Late Hollywood actor Paul Walker, known for his performances in the Fast and Furious films, has received a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, nearly nine years after his death.

Along with Paul, late singer Jenny Rivera will also get a star. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce confirmed the selection on Friday.

Paul's star, along with fellow actors Uma Thurman, Christopher 'Ludacris' Bridges, Bill Pullman, Vince Vaughn, Jon Waters, Jon Favreau, Mindy Kaling, Martin Lawrence, Ralph Macchio, Garrett Morris and Ellen Pompeo, will be affixed in 2023.

Paul died in a car accident on November 30, 2013. He rose to fame by playing the role of Brian in the series Fast and Furious.


Jordan Brewster, who played Paul's on-screen wife in the Fast and Furious movies, celebrated his Walk of Fame announcement by posting two throwback photos of the late actor.

Sharing this, he wrote, 'You are going to get your star. Shining forever. Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2023 (sic).

As Deadline reports, president and Walk of Fame star recipient, Ellen Kay, said, "The selection panel, made up of fellow Walk of Famers, chooses each year a group of honorees who represent different genres of the entertainment world." Furthermore, "the panel thoughtfully selected these talented individuals, and we can't wait to celebrate them as they become a part of Hollywood history with the unveiling of their star on the world's most famous walkway!"
