Kim Kardashian didn't damage Marilyn Monroe's dress: Ripley Museum

Kim Kardashian was recently accused of damaging Marilyn Monroe's dress

Kim Kardashian has been cleared of allegations of damaging Marilyn Monroe's dress after the diva's glamorous outing at the Met Gala 2022.

Amid intense criticism of the reality star at the hands of netizens, the Ripley Museum has spoken out in defense of Kim.

A company representative told TMZ that the gown was returned in exactly the same condition as it was taken from the museum.

"Many of the seams are pulled and worn out," said a report on the condition of the dress in early 2017. It's not surprising how fragile the material is.

"There's puckering backwards from hooks and eyes, among other examples of damage," the outlet reported.

The representative was of the view that the late singer's iconic gown was displayed at various places around the world where it could be damaged.

"From the bottom of the Met steps where Kim came in the dress, to the top where it was returned, the dress was in the same position it started in," the rep said.
