As The Sun reports, Christine McGuinness was not in favor of hiding her separation from her husband Paddy.
Former model Christine, 34, was forced to hide the split for weeks the pair thought had actually gone their separate ways back in June.
Reports claim that the TV personality 'can't keep it up anymore' and wanted to come out clean but Top Gear presenter Paddy, 48, reportedly wanted to present a 'united front' to the public.
A source told The Sun that Christine was the one leading the breakup and wanted to publicly disclose the split.
He elaborated on the publication: 'Christine and Paddy spent weeks trying to hide it - but she couldn't keep it. She was in the driving seat when it finally came to end their marriage.
' They ended their marriage in early June. He made it clear to those close to him that it was over. However, Paddy wanted to stand on a united front.
Continuing that Christine felt she had no choice but to go along with her husband's wishes, the source revealed that the former model finally had 'enough'.
Sharing: 'But last week she said they couldn't go ahead and pushed them to go public. He has enough to put on a brave face.'
