Jennifer Lopez signed her marriage documents using Ben Affleck's surname
Katherine Ryan was unhappy with Jennifer Lopez's decision to legally take her husband Ben Affleck's surname after marriage.
The Duchess star took to Twitter to criticize the actor's decision to change her name after the successful Hollywood career of her maiden name Marry Me
"Changing your name makes little sense to me, but when your name is Jennifer Lopez and you're J-Lo, Jenny from the Block, and you ride 6 days and nights to grow that name, OK, Jane Affleck...," tweeted Ryan.
Changing your name makes very little sense to me, but makes ZERO SENSE AT ALL when your name is Jennifer Lopez and you are J-Lo, Jenny from the Block, and you rode the 6 day and night to grow that name but ok, Jen Affleck…

The comment sparked a debate on the social media site, where most people thought it was Lopez's choice, while others suggested Affleck should now name his wife.
"She can do whatever she wants. She's also in the honeymoon phase so she hasn't even thought of her business name yet," commented one user, while another added, "She can do whatever she wants." Maybe. The choice is hers.
“She never said she was changing her name professionally like..? JLo is her brand and she will always be JLo. She just changed her legal/personal name, which is what most people do after marriage,” a The fan explained. "It's her prerogative in any way and there's nothing to be pressed about."
“Telling another woman what she should do means little to me,” another chimed in, while a Lopez fan asked Ryan to “calm down.”
However, one user wrote, "(Ben Affleck) should have taken his name and become B-Lo instead," while another noted that Jennifer Affleck "doesn't feel right."
