Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are holding each other in the midst of separation from their respective families.
The couple, who stepped down as senior royals in 2020, now live in California with their children. As they rebuild their brand value as philanthropists, both Meghan and Harry only have 'one another'.
Royal expert Angela Mollard told Sunrise: "What worries me about Harry and Meghan as a couple is that they are not supported by the family.
"They don't have a base for the people around them, really strong relationships for them, to act as a sounding board for their kids sometimes maybe.
"[or] simply as a trustworthy place".
She continued: "They're really [only] with each other and that's a lot of pressure on the marriage."
Ms Mollard described both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as having "combustible characters".
She added: "I mean, we see Meghan's relationship with her father, you know, the terrible tension that's happened there.
"I'm not saying that anyone in that relationship is right or wrong.
"[And] of course, we know that William and Harry, you know, they've fallen out, so they [Meghan and Harry] are very fiery characters".
"They want to show the world that they are a bonded couple and that they love each other, that they love each other, that they are supportive," Judy James said of her Jubilee appearance.
