Meghan Markle found it very difficult to adapt to royal structures.

Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle and royal family tensions have prompted her and Prince Harry to step back from royal duties in 2020.
According to Professor Pauline McLaren, an expert and professor of marketing and consumer research at Royal Holloway University, Meghan Markle 'had difficulties getting into the royal fold.'
She said that her (Meghan) refusal to lose her identity caused tension with the British royal family.
Professor Pauline said: “As an outsider, Meghan found it very difficult to adapt to royal structures, and of course, Meghan is a very independent career woman, so it is not surprising that she did not fit in – could not fit in with the need of the royals to lose their own identity in the service of the royal family.
According to International Business Times, the former Suits actress was working on a number of causes before tying the knot with Prince Harry in 2018.
Now, after stepping away from royal duties in 2020, Meghan is looking to make a mark of her own.
Meghan and Prince Harry have opened their own non-profit organization, the Archwell Foundation, and partnered with several charity groups to continue their mission without the involvement of the royal family.
