Tristan Thompson Sends a Secret Message to Khloe Indicating That "Nothing Has Been Promised"
Earlier this month, Khloé Kardashian's reps confirmed that the star is having a second child with her ex, Tristan Thompson.
However, just weeks after Khloe and Tristan had implanted the embryo in a surrogate, Tristan became the father of a baby boy, Theo, whom he shared with personal trainer Marali Nichols without Khloe's knowledge.
According to Marali, Tristan was actively encouraging her to have an abortion, as well as moving forward with her and Khloe's surrogacy plans.
In court documents filed in December, Marali shared Tristan's alleged messages, where he warned her that he would have "zero involvement" with their child and offered her $75,000 for the abortion.
By the time her and Khloé's surrogate were impregnated, Tristan was embroiled in a secret legal battle with Marali, when she filed to sue for child support and pregnancy-related expenses.
They filed a legal declaration in December 2021 and believed the document would remain private, and appeared to have no intention of telling Khloe about Marali or Theo, who were born the same month.
But the lawsuit leaked to the press, and Khloe and her entire family found out about Tristan's paternity scandal after the news went online "along with the rest of the world."
On Sunday, Tristan shared a cryptic Instagram quote for her story, which was interpreted by many as a shady indirect look at Khloé in the midst of the arrival of her second child.
"1. You haven't been promised anything," the quote began. "2. Nobody owes you anything. 3. You have all the responsibility in life. Understand these three rules as soon as possible and realize that freedom is the way forward."
