ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Sunday mocked Pakistan Democratic Movement's (PDM) intention to move a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, saying neither the government is going anywhere nor the opposition is able to come. . Power.
The home minister, in his statement, slammed the PDM on its long march that began on March 23 to oust the PDM-led government and warned opposition parties to abide by the law or face action.
"If the PDM tries to break the law, the law will take its course and if it commits such a mistake that can hurt democracy, it will have to pay the price," he said. Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shahbaz Sharif said that in the next meeting of the PDM to be held on January 25, a no-confidence motion will be moved against the government along with other options.
It should be noted that the PDM has announced a long march against the incumbent government in the federal capital on 23 March (Pakistan Day). On that day, foreign ministers of Islamic Organization (OIC) countries will visit Islamabad to participate in the Pakistan Day Parade.
