Intense to chair Pakistan body of British Asian Trust


 London: The British Asian Trust has named Pakistan's leading industrialist Mian Mohammad Mansha as the chairman of its advisory council in Pakistan.

The British Asian Trust said that Mian Mohamed Mansha has been made part of a charity working in South Asia because of his credentials and contributions. Mohammad Mansha, Founder and Chairman, Nishat Group of Companies and Chairman of MCB Bank Ltd., said: “I am honored to be appointed as the Chairman of the Pakistan Advisory Council of the British Asian Trust. I am deeply concerned about the work of the British Asian Trust in Pakistan, in particular. I am deeply impressed by her unprecedented mental health program, and her focus on helping thousands of women get secure jobs."

British Asian Trust Chief Executive Richard Hawkes also welcomed Mian Mansha as Chairman of Our Pakistan Advisory Council, hoping that his leadership would contribute to his work in Pakistan.

Mr. Mansha was awarded Sitara-e-Imtiaz, Pakistan's prestigious civilian award in 2004 for his contribution to industrial development. He is currently the Chairman of MCB Bank Limited and a Board Member of Atlantic Council, USA.
