Legendary actress Shabana Azmi has tested positive for coronavirus, the star informed her fans on social media.
Taking to Instagram, the Arth actor shared the news of his COVID-19 diagnosis along with a picture of himself.
He wrote, "Tested positive for Kovid today. Isolated myself at home and requested all those who were in close contact with me, please get tested."
Soon after sharing the news, fans and friends wished Shabana.
Filmmaker Boney Kapoor expressed concern for Shabana's husband Javed Akhtar, writing, "Oh my god, please stay away from Javed saab."
Actress Divya Dutta wrote, "Get well soon Shabana ji."
Fashion designer Manish Malhotra also commented, "Take care. Get well soon."
Meanwhile, a fan commented, "Get well soon ma'am. Hope Javed sir is fine. Wishing you a speedy recovery."
Earlier in a 2020 interview with Hindustan Times, when Shabana was asked how she and Javed are coping with the lockdown, she said, "Going with the flow. For a friendly person like me, I never thought I'd be wiser. Javed is used to being isolated while writing, so it was easy for him. But we've never spent that much time together and we've always enjoyed each other's company, so it's been good for us personally."
