Golden State Warriors Take Care to End Losing Streak to LA Clippers

Steph Curry reacts to losing streak

The Golden State Warriors broke their five-game losing streak with a decisive victory over the LA Clippers. It was a tough stretch for the Warriors, but after winning a game in Denver to give their stars extra rest, they were drawn to the shorthanded Clippers team.

While staying under their three best players, the Clippers have gotten used to playing a lot better than their last two matches. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were undoubtedly on edge, but that has been the case throughout the season. With the Clippers beating the Warriors in their previous matchups with each other, this was a game the Warriors were particularly focused on.

After the game, Steph Curry said, "We remember how they came out when we were in L.A. a few weeks ago. There was a sense of urgency for us, knowing that we had ourselves to win. There was a chance to get out of this hole. ... That's how you frame it in terms of the Warriors basketball on both ends of the floor." Curry said that Golden State was getting "sick and tired of losing", which contributed to the increased energy in the game.

Even in the face of their recent poor game, the Warriors still have an opportunity to hold on to the 2-seed of the Western Conference. With Drummond Green expected to return next week, and James Wiseman probably not far behind, the Warriors are looking to not only finish with optimal seeding, but generate some momentum to enter the playoffs.

Following this win over the Clippers, the Warriors are set to face the Denver Nuggets again on Thursday; However, this time around he will have his top talent available.
