Jada Pinkett Smith married Will Smith while dating August Alsina
Jada Pinkett Smith's past is opening up widely as her ex-boyfriend prepares to chronicle their extra-physical relationship in a new book.
During difficult times in her marriage to Will, 50-year-old Jada turned to 29-year-old R&B singer August Alsina for several years.
In 2020, the mother-in-law admitted that she was involved with the singer. August is now, trying to capitalize on his romance with Jada as he reportedly signed a book about his life.
A source from The Sun claims, "August is getting ready to sign a big money book deal that will expand on his romantic relationship with Jada."
"He has always said that Will allowed him to sleep with Jada, which he has publicly denied."
The source adds: "August will go into detail about his time with Jada and also how he spent time living in homes owned by Will while he was filming."
"Many publishers have put in bids for the books and August is the best deal. He knows a lot of people are impressed by his story and he's happy to tell it," the source said.
In 2021, Will Smith admitted that he and Jada had an 'open marriage'. In 2020, Jada also brought Will to Red Table Talk, where he candidly discussed her romance with August.
Jada, who often described the bond with August as 'tangled', confessed to Will: "It was a relationship, of course."
"I was in a lot of pain, and I was very broken. In the process of that relationship I definitely realized that you can't find happiness outside of yourself," she said at the time.
